Brighton Salvos Store holds community day

The Brighton-Butler Salvos Store is holding a community day this Saturday 15 April.

The family-friendly event is the first in Western Australia connecting local Salvo corps (churches) with their op shop and community.

“We’ve got 50 stores across WA and lots of other stores right across Australia, [so] it’s a great location for The Salvation Army to be able to engage with public,” says chaplain of Salvos Stores Western Australia Richard Wiltshire.

“[We want] to be able to share what we are all about, promote local corps, events and to give customers a better understanding of the ‘why’ behind their purchase.”

The event will include live music, a barbecue and refreshments, as well as face painting, Easter eggs and a special appearance by Salvo mascot ‘Sally Shield’ for the kids.

People are invited to join the fun between 11am–1pm at Brighton Salvos Store on Kingsbridge Boulevard, Butler.
